Another one of the keys to writing an accurate, effective CV lies in making the right word choices that make your CV sound the way you want it to sound.

  • What do you think is the right tone for a CV?

- Confident, assured, giving it a personal twist if necessary.
- Factual, neutral, without resorting to too sensitive material.

  • What conclusion can you draw from this answer?

In other words: be positive and convinced, neither presumptuous nor too humble. Stress your accomplishments and strengths honestly, without exaggeration, using factual evidence drawn from your experiences to support your points. Do not use negative phrasing or an apologetic tone.
