Laboratori de Llengua de Signes Catalana
Giorgia Zorzi
I am from Italy and I know Italian Sign Language (LIS), Catalan Sign Language (LSC) and a little bit of French Sign Language (LSF) and American Sign Language (ASL). Now I am focusing on LSC doing research in linguistics. I moved to Barcelona to start my PhD on sentential coordination which is the phenomenon where two sentences are put together using “and” and “or” among other types of coordinators. There are different types of coordination and I am studying one type of sentential coordination where the first sentence is complete and in the second one the verb is missing, for example “Mary ate some pasta and Jordi, some cake”.
